I typically use key and mouse for most all of my gaming. I am pretty new to PC gaming so I don't have that much exp. under my belt but there are a few games that I think I would like a lot better with an xbox controller i.e. any racing game, Dark Souls 2 are the first ones that come to mind.

Is it time to upgrade to a xbox one controller? With new games coming out on xbox one would it be more beneficial in the long run to upgrade controllers? Does the xbox one controller offer more features like button combinations or anything like that? I've never actually held one or seen one.

There is a link to show you the differences between the controllers; however, if you have a 360 controller laying around, I do not see any compelling reason to purchase a whole new controller at this point unless you decide that you like the layout better on the One controller.

I love using my 360 controller for certain games on my computer. I have used both controllers and from personal experience the One does feel better but not to the point where it merits purchasing one. I would not upgrade until you have a literal reason to, like key features changes in a game that might take advantage of something.

While the xb1 controller does feel a little better to use overall, it doesn't warrant an upgrade over a standard xbox controller. There are no new features and the xb1 doesn't have a wireless adapter available. (even though one is promised)

The only good thing about the xb1 controller is that it uses a standard micro usb port. This way you can use the same cable that prolly charges your wireless headset or android phone.
