We don't even have a Xbox 1 (the first one) emulator yet. At the end of the day, you need to emulate an X86-64 CPU, the GPU, and the bastardized version of Windows running behind the scenes, all in software, on Windows.

I doubt it's ever happening, frankly. The complexity, plus the fact most every titles was released on the PC anyway, makes it likely no one is ever going to put forth the effort.
why ? there is no need an emulator for new consoles. Most games also on PC.
in case you mean the original Xbox ...there is but M$ tried to stop it and now it's progression is very slow 😀 so simple answer is no ....legit 😀 never happen for console emulator

Now this is what confuses me. I had a copy of Skyrim on my old PC but was not able to get playable frame rates but was able to port a save over from my 360 and use console commands to "mod" my 360 game. This suggested to me that the architecture was similar.

Just because the CPU is an x86, it doesn't mean that the emulation of it is any easier. The GPU must also be emulated and the pipeline, software, and all of the other relevant things pertaining to the function of the machine needs to be understood.

Has anyone else ever written an emulator? If you haven't, try writing a simple one like a 6502 emulator or a CHIP-8 emulator. Thereafter, you might have an idea of how difficult it is to write an emulator.

Reason: Kinect-One. There is a adapter for Windows...
