XBOX One on Computer Monitor Picture Problem

I have my XB1 plugged into my HP monitor using HDMI and I have a picture but it is stretched vertically. Ive used my XB360 before my XBOXOne and it had bars under the picture to fit the screen. How do I get my XB1 to do the same?

What monitor are you using? Would do you mean by stretched?

HP w2207h. The picture is stretched vertically to fit the screen where on the XB360 black bars filled in the space yet it isn't doing the same with the XB1

Well maybe you have to into the settings and set it for 1680 x 1050 as that's a odd resolution and maybe the XBone isn't picking it up automatically.

Actually doesn't seem supported at all.

Ok, thank you. It didnt seem like it was being supported like the 360 to where it automatically fits.
