Xbox or PS2?

Me and my girl are looking into getting a gamming console, mostly for her since Im big in pc gamming but want to get her somthing that will get her off my back when Im gamming on my rig.

Which console is the best that has the decent titles a women would like and does it good with the kick-punch games? Thanks.

xbox:modded with chip and put ps2 emu(if you can find one) + all PS2 roms on it?

sounds feasible to me.

Just get an xbox, get a mod chip, put linux on it, and enjoy tux racer for ever! :)

I know girls who would kick yur head in for a quote like that but it made me smile nevertheless.

EDIT: Are u rich enough to buy a second pc with lesser specs and a crossover cable so ye can game together which would just be a beautiful thing 😛

Just being factual.... Console games are less difficult than pc games and she does what any women would do when they sense their man having fun and their not, forcefully grab your attention. She likes some console games out there and would do the trick but not getting both cosoles.

I too am leaning toward the xbox for NO vendor on the planet except ebay has them in stock. Heard that MS stop making the console before the holidays and about to release a smaller version of it soon, just dont know when...

Oh yeah I have built her own PC, for obvious reasons, but she will only play The Sims. Everything else is just too complicated and involves too many buttons to press for her. She wants them simple and entertaining so thats what brought up the console idea.

Just get a simple gamepad or joystick for the computer, lots of games support them. That would save you a lot of money, consoles get very expensive very fast. They want an arm and a leg even for old titles 🙁
If your sights are set on a console I'd just get an xbox simply because it has much better specs than a PS2. I know graphics arn't everything but once you own a high end PC they are :)

I bought an Xbox a couple of years ago. Guess where I play the majority of my games? On my PC! Why? Because paying MS an additional fee to play games online via my Xbox is just not right! Hell, I can play all of my games online for free referencing my PC.
