I want to purchase a PC controller.but iam in confusion.so you can help me to choose my first controller for PC.
My three choices are Logitech f310,ps3 ds3 controller, xbox 360 controller.
All these controllers are under 50$.
Can you compare this controllers build quality, dead zone?
I think ps3 and Xbox controller have no dead zone.
Am I right?
What about the dpad of Xbox 360 controller?
Is it good?
Most people said that the dpad of the Xbox controller is the worst dpad in their controllers.
It can't be use for fighting games.
Only for shooting games.
Is this true?
How long a controller will last(no damage to buttons)?
My friend had a Xbox one controller.
He plays fifa games for hours.
After 1.5 years it's analogue stick damaged.
He also has a Logitech f310 controller which he brought 3years ago.but it is working now without any problems.
How this is possible?
If you have any other choices pls suggest me a controller under 50$?

I'd suggest the Xbox controller but not for the reasons you are asking about.
As it happens more games support the Xbox controller by default, and many games only support the Xbox controller.

There are workarounds, but the easiest thing is just to use the Xbox controller.

I have a logitech controller thats a clone of the PS3 controller, had it for years and it still looks brand new - because I never use it. Not because it's bad, but because the Xbox controller just works without any effort.

Xbox controllers are basically 100% compatible. (casue windows)

PS3/4 controllers "do" work really well, but they are not natively supported. (steam's big pic mode does support them though)
Typically you use a 3rd party program like DS4 to make em work.

(also atm amazon has ps4 controllers for under $50 and they are MUCH betetr than ps3 ones. feel and usefulness https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-Wireless-Controller-PlayStation-Black-4/dp/B01LWVX2RG )

As for the life of its buttons and stuff.... it varies.

It depends on how rough and used they are.

there is a reason mario party on N64 killed the joystick, why N3DS broke circlepads playing brawl, etc.

As long as you are not overly aggressive they last many years just fine. (have an original ps3 controller from first model that still works perfectly)

#1 rule: Don't eat and then use your controller w/o washing hands.

you will add muck and grime to the controller which can/will find its way into the buttons and make them stick.

+3 for Xbox

Most people said that the dpad of the Xbox controller is the worst dpad while comparing their other controllers.
It can't be use for fighting games.
Only for shooting games.

Is it good for games like tomb raider?

they likely refer to the 360's D-pad as its got the "circle" treatment so pressing (example) Left may get registered as down-left or up-left.

where as ps3 and others only have the 4 main direction buttons so you have more direct control and no misdirection.

fighting games typically use combos and risk of havign a misclick can ruin a combo meaning a loss.

So for fighting games which controller you prefer
Xbox or ps4 controller(don't choose by compatibility and support)?
SNES gamepad was my first preference.
But it has no analogue sticks.
My budget is under 50$.
My only problem with Xbox controller is the dpad.
I only play WWE games and tomb raider using the controller.
For other games I always prefer KB and mouse.
