Hello, I am currently using an hp laptop that has ryzen 5 3600 with vega 8 to stream my xbox series x using an elgato 60s+ external capture card. I am limited to 720 at 30 fps.. and the stream is still subpar. I am currently in the market for a desktop... my ultimate goal is to get atleast 60fps at 1080p... the computer will strictly be for streaming using obs. What should I be looking for? Will an i5 with gtx 1650 super suffice? I'm lost when it comes to pcs. is AMD better than Intel? Price range is around 1300...
Thank you

Solution
1080p at 60Hz isnt greedy for gpu power,, i used to have gtx 1060 which handled 1080p @ 60Hz with 50Mbit bitrate H.264
its more about codec used, preferably gpu accelerated...
your vega 8 supports h264,h265,vp8,vp9,avc for gpu encoding

bot no idea about its perforamnce, your capture card has in system requeriments gtx 10xx or better for windows, or dedicated gpu (amd/nvidia) for mac
