Xbox System Link Question

I want to host a LAN Party for Halo 3. I have the download version and my friend has the disc copy. Will there be any compatibility issues?

There shouldn't be. The manufacturer of the game, Bungie, surely encorperated the games so that the usage of System Links and Wireless connectivity can both be used. As long as there is an option in the multiplayer mode, on either copy (the disc or the digital), to use a System Link, than, it should work flawlessly.
