Xbox360 Controller kills audio and normal reply doesn't work.

I looked all over the place for answers and everyone says the same thing- "Delete it from your Sound Video and Game controllers" in device manager, or "Delete it from the USB plugins" on audio manager. The problem is, my controller isn't showing up there. Just the usual stuff (My microphone and speakers). When my (wireless) controller is on, I can't use my mic. Please help?

Please? I physically cannot play half of my games right now with friends....

Well I kind of fixed it by getting Audacity. Whenever my mic stops working I just open and close it until my mic randomly decides to fix itself. It usually takes about twenty seconds of opening/closing. Thanks for helping, forum; glad I made an account.
