Hello everyone, I have a xeon 5675 on an x58 motherboard currently running at 4.5ghz. Does this Cpu have enough power to push an rx vega 56 or should I stick with a rx 590 instead? System has 12 gigs of ddr3 ram at 1800mhz. Any feedback is appreciated!

Actually, just remembered, AMD aren't good for older legacy bios motherboards. There's a chance Vega 56 or any modern AMD card wont work, they're not as forgiving as Nvidia. I would search if anyone has run an recent AMD card on your motherboard.

Meaning it's a chance you take with Amd and legacy motherboards. Nvidia run hybrid bios with both legacy/uefi, Amd can be bit more fussy.

Looking around, looks like people have success running Vega56 on x58 motherboards. So you might be ok with your motherboard supporting newer uefi interface.

Search your motherboard + vega 56 to be sure and have bios updated.
