So i'm thinking of buying an Xeon E5450 or X5460 for gaming, since the motherboards for them tend to be cheaper, will that be good for gaming and video editing?
Those processors are from 2007, and have worse performance than third and fourth gen i3s and i5s, which probably don't cost much more.
Youre better off spending a bit more money for far better and more modern pc components
I would recommend you not spend any money on this old tech. Rather, you should save for a new, modern set of components for a gaming rig. Even the lowest end current CPUs will run circles around those old Socket 771 and 775 CPUs.
