Xeon Compatible With LGA775?

I just want to know if this intel xeon x3370 will be compatible with my motherboard, because having a 3ghz quadcore for 50$ would be great.

On the motherboard specs it says it only supports intel core duo and duo quads, so i guess not, but they are both LGA775 sockets, so why wouldnt they work together?

Check the HP section: http://www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/3/#hp Since the E5450 worked, then the X3370 may also work if you inject the Xeon microcode.

I just played it safe, now im just going to spend an extra 25$ on a Intel Core 2 Quad, its on the list, is 3ghz and has 4 cores, should be good for what i play, very rarley do i play demanding games, maybe gta 5, but thats it, thanks for the help though.

That's the easiest way, but some people like modding a BIOS, etc.
