Xeon E3-1230V3 for gaming......?

Need some opinions here.
This cpu has highend i7 specs and performance but a i5 price.

I dont plan to overclock (never much into it). I do not need onboard IGP as im going to be using a graphics card.

So considering that..would I have any issues with using this vice say an i5?

No problems at all, would perform almost identically to an i7 4770. I'm getting one myself for gaming also.

Awesome...tyvm for the reply. Im going to be putting this in a coolmaster 130 mini itx case (another reason not to overclock ..not enough room for crazy cooling).

I did notice i may need to pay attention to mobo cpu compatibility lists as the xeon may not be supported just cause a mobo is 1150.

Most that I've seen support it but it's always worth checking. Nice case choice by the way, it's surprisingly good especially at its price point.

Remember that the motherboard will also need to be mITX in form factor.
