Hello everyone
So i own an i3 4160 on a msi H81m eco motherboard paired with gtx 1060.I want to upgrade my cpu since i get severe bottlenecks in cpu intensive games. My options are either to get a lga 1155 mobo paired with xeon e3 1240 v2 this will cost me about 85 dollars(CPU plus mobo)..Moreover i can sell my H81 and i3 4160,this can bring the total cost very low ,or i can just swap my current cpu with i5 4570,xeon 1240 v3,i7 4770 nonk which cost 95 ,85,and 150 dollars respectively..My sole purpose is gaming. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Solution
Depends on how much you can get for your old parts. both xeons (1240 v3/v2) are defiantly the best value, the v3 is slightly better than v2, but not but much. If you can get a good price for your old mobo/cpu, you might want to go back a generation to lga 1155, otherwise, just get the 1240 v3, and sell your i3.
