Question Xeon E3 1240-V3

Hello! I'm looking to buy a cheap xeon on lga 1150. I found i7's kinda expensive for me than this xeon. The i7 4790 is ~$92 and 4790k is ~$100. I know 4790k is not on par with xeons but how about 4790 and1240-v3? My monitor is 1080p 60hz and gpu is gtx 1050. I will upgrade my gpu in future to a rx 580/580 or 5700. Will be a major differences in fps between these cpus, 4790 vs 1240-v3. Is worth 4790 if I only game?

4790 and E3-1240v3 is about the same. OC the 4790K and you might get 5-10FPS gain. I'd personally won't worry and just get the Xeon if it's really cheaper. Not to mention that with the Xeon, if you need RAM and DDR3 starts running out, you can still get ECC RAM.
