Hi, i have a xeon 1231v3 in my gaming rig and due to this i am capped at 1600mhz on my RAM at the moment i am using 16gb of 1333mhz memory but sometimes certain games run slower or stutter a bit, its not my GPU. when i looked on task manager it showed that my cpu was at %15 or lower but my memory usage is always higher which makes me think i need faster ram. so my question what can i do to fix this as im capped at 1600 but would upgrading to that really help? or is there another solution?

I highly doubt your ram is the culprit here. The performance difference in gaming for 1333 vs 1600 is usually around 3%. What games are causing you trouble? What is your GPU? Have you monitored your temps during gaming to ensure you aren't thermal throttling?

i have a msi r9 390. and well i play at over 100fps on max settings normally but just sometimes it drops and in fallout 4 ive noticed a big drop in fps, i think it might possibly be the heat in my case, would that affect it much or not? it is also normally better when ive just started playing for the first few hours, after that performance drops. its very touch and go some days it will be fine with no lag ever and some it will drop after a bit of playing, and it varies from game to game.
