Xeon LGA Socket 775

I talked to Asus already about using the Intel X3220 Xeon Quad Cores. They only recommend their
P5M series boards for the Xeon Processor. You'd think that a regular Quad core board would do but
no nope! So, if you want to go to Xeon you'll be stuck with those boards which aren't cheap about $320.

:non:

P5M? Did Asus say why, or if in fact the 3200 series Xeons will not work on say, a 680i chipset board? After all the 3200 series Xeons are merely high binned Kentsfields, nothing special.
