Xeon or i5?

Hello. I am trying to research parts for a gaming/photo and video editing rig. I am looking at the intel xeon e3-1230 v3. From what I have heard, it is an i7 4770 without the igp (intergrated graphics). I was wondering if an i5 4670k be better suited to my needs or not. If it helps, my graphics card will either be a gtx 760, a 970 or an asus mars dual 760. My ram is 16gb of 1866mhz sticks. Thanks
