Xeon question for my MB

Hi all, I got another for you, can I run the Xeon 6C E5 2620 in my P9X79? The CPU is not the v2. But on the ASUS Website, they said I can run the v2 of this CPU. I would love it if someone can help me...

While I would think it should being the same socket and all, the fact that the workstation version of this mobo, the P9X79 WS, lists it would be worrisome.

Ya Specops, I would think it should to, but, I just wanna make sure. Its just the standard P9X79.
