XEON ram compatibility?

hi guys,

i got in my old system (HP z400) an xeon w3520 2.66 ghz, but the ram is broken and i wanted to know if i could use non ecc ddr3 1866mhz memory for that old system.

i already dont use it for a year now but i believe its hp fmb 0902

I do not believe it can use none ECC memory.

thats realy sad, but thanks for your reply, now i know i cant use it and probably go buy ryzen.

Why not just buy some ECC memory?

I bought 32GB for my Supermicro server not to long ago. Really wasn't that much more expensive then standard memory.
