Xeon system worth it?

I have a friend who owes me about $600CDN and offered me a dual 2.4 xeon system instead. It would come with a real server case and PSU and a gig of RAM and a 5900 and some hard drive. I think it would be coo to haev a dually for a server but would this thing be worth it?
oh ya it would come with an lcd as well.

More important, is it hot? What os does it have? Is that included, with a licence?
The chips sell for about $285c now new.

It comes with some kind of intel motherboard. Has onboard raid controller. Doesnt really matter if its hot. Dont know which socket they are i just know they are 2.4 xeon's.

i've decided to get it because either way this machine is worth more than 600 with all the parts. More like 1500 @ least so why turn it down.

ooooooooooooooooooooooo i am playing with the box right now and turns out they are 2.66ghz xeon's sckt 604 with 512 cach. i also get a 160 gig hard drive instead of the 80 now.

i am pretty sure that they are HT processors. They are second gen xeon's. This box is gonna be made into a media center/CS;S server/file server/folder.
