Solution
ECC RAM is Error Correcting Code. It's very important in technical computing such as medical or engineering, but not used in gaming or internet, word processing type use. So the Xeons must support it. The Gigabyte MB may or may not. If it does there should be an option in the BIOS. Many MB just ignore the ECC logic chip and run them as normal RAM. Any Xeon that has a 3 as the first digit is single CPU, a 5 there is 2 cpu, and a 7 there is "multiple" CPU.
Here are some builds for that MB with Xeons running there.

The safe RAM bet is to use RAM that's listed as compatable with the MB. Safe CPU bet is update your BIOS and run a CPU that someone else has running on that MB.
