Xeon X3440 worth it for upgrade ?

I have an i5 680 and does the performance will increase significantly when i get a Xeon X3440?
Im not towards gaming but more on rendering things like photoshop
Does it worth it?below are my specs

Asus P7H55-M LE
4GB Ram
Kingmax 120gb SSD
500GB HDD

Just rendering some small files only..So i will not upgrade RAM
Boot up faster?Rendering speed?

You'd be better off with a higher clocked Xeon/i7 from that generation. The clockspeeds on the Xeon are relatively low compared to your current chip, which loses quite a bit of single-threaded speed.

You'd pick up some performance with the additional cores, but with the loss in clockspeed, probably not what you'd hope for.

X3440 can be overclocked to 3.5-4.0Ghz pretty easily thru BLCK overclocking. it's definitely a substantial upgrade over i5-680
