Xeon X3480 vs i7 880 ?

which of those two CPUs will you choose for power and which one is better than the other (dont care about price, just speed and power)



Xeon X3480 or i7 880 ??

i7-875K is unlocked.

but the i7-875K cant be used in an iMac, only i7 880 or xeon x3480

I would go to userbenchmark.com and enter your system in the search bar there, and see what is or isn't actually being run in those. Sometimes OEMs don't list unlocked CPUs that will run for tech support reasons, and sometimes Intel releases a later version and the list doesn't get updated. The unlocked CPU can be accessed from Windows, but with a Mac OS it might not work anyway. I didn't see iMac in your original question. It can make a big difference in the answer.
