Does anyone have tech. info on the xerox N32 (lexmark W820, Qms 4032) toner
cartrige chip.

Being as curious as I am I went to explore the differences between these
cartriges and found out that besides the chip contents there are none worth
mentioning.
I can read data from this chip using settings for a 24Cxx but for some
reason I can not write anything to it.

The chip says "Xerox90 WD2563 900015"

Is that chip similar to this one? I'd love to be able to read (& write) to
this one!!

There seem to be 2 types of chips going around.
The older ones I can't read at all and the newer ones I can read but not
write
The only visible difference between the two are the pcb on which they are
mounted
The older ones use two 1n4148 diodes as a pullup for scl and sda while the
newer one uses a sot23 like transistor

The newer one is definetily a I2C eeprom. I can read it fine but writing is
a problem, until now it has resulted in a erased chip.

b.t.w.
the 24L seems to be similar to the 24C series
