Question Xfinity/Linksys not allowing me to port forward anymore?

I know how to port forward, I have been doing so for years. A few months back, I bought a router from Linksys to act as an extension to the router I have on a separate floor, connected via ethernet. Port forwarding has worked fine for me except a few days ago, when suddenly it wasn't working. I did not change any settings, just out of nowhere. I am trying my hardest, and yet Xfinity will not allow me to add or remove ports, the same "We're having issues now" message over and over. I do not understand.

Call support. Let them know

Reboot the xfinity modem. Unplug and leave it for two or three minutes and then plug it back in and let it connect

So do you have the Linksys set up as an access point?
I have rebooted both routers to no avail. Also yes, I believe it's acting as an access point. It acts as a different connection when you connect a device to it, but it uses the service the original router is providing
