Xfinity router very slow to boot-up after power cycling (X83 model)

Having a weird issue. Recently had to get a new router from Comcast due to the original modem constantly dropping our phone signal (internet and TV never dropped). Any time I have to power cycle the modem, its takes 10+ minutes for it to completely boot up. It will light the Power, US/DS, Online, and Tel 1 fairly quickly, but then it takes a very long time for the wifi lights to turn on and internet to actually work. The wired internet connections do not work, until the wifi lights finally start blinking normal.Once its up and running, internet speed is great.

Anyone familiar with this router and if this is common?

Yes they are slow to start up.... but over 10 min seems a long......did Comcast check your signal strength at your home? also how often are you power cycling the modem and why because you should not have to do it at all regularly.

Mine's very slow too. Somewhere in the span of 5-10 mins seems about right.

According to the cable box, our signal strength is good. We had a new line installed from the pole to the house in October.
