While I am in any game (League of Legends, Rainbow 6, and Destiny 2 are what I play most) I have an average ping between 85-100 that can even spike to 150. I have tried contacting my ISP many times and they are unhelpful. I have also tested and know the issue is not with my computer. My computer is usually connected wirelessly but I have tested Ethernet and it did not improve my ping.

Solution
Ping times is mostly measuring the distance between you and the server. The path does not even necessarily go directly since the connections between different ISP is not always optimal.

You can only make your time worse by using things like wifi. Ethernet should always give you the best latency without spikes that impact games.

In many cases the only way to reduce the ping time is to move to the city the server is in and then buy service from the same ISP the game company users. Even then you have no guarantees….well I suppose you can buy a internet connection where the ISP will guarantee you a certain minimum latency to a particular location.
