RN I have MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon with R5 1600 and Im planing to get R7 2700x. Will this mobo support those boosting features or I need a B450 or X470 board? This is higher-end B350 board with quite good power delivery I think and I have the lastest BIOS...

Thank you for answer. Will I benefit from buying R7 2700 over R7 1700 on this board? I don't want to change it.

Just get a 2600x. It'll be a very noticeable difference in speed compared to the 1600. And consumes less power than the 2700x

The 450-470 boards have better VRM. This helps with the extra power draw of the 2nd gen CPUs. I personally wouldn't run a 2700x on a 350 chipset. I did successfully run a 2600x on 350 chipset, though it has much less power draw than the 2700x. I did switch to a 450 board and am now able to take advantage of XFR2 and PB2

I might get r7 2700 non x. It has a lot less power draw than x version
