I recently bought an XFX 250 GTS graphics card for my all-stock Dell Dimension 9100 Computer. I also bought an Antec 500 watt power supply upgrade, and they are both successfully installed in my computer. However, whenever i go to play a game such as WoW or call of duty WaW, the game freezes up about every 20 minutes and then i have to restart my computer. Now i know this is not an overheating problem of the card, but what could the cause of this problem be? Any Solutions?

hey thanks i'll try that... Do u think the problem could possibly be that my power supply is too low? Im running a 500 watt for a 450 watt card..

i dont think its an overheating problem or temperature problem... I just turned my computer on after being off for about 20 hours and about 10 minutes into a game it froze up and restarted the computer. Anything else?

well the coomputer doesnt shut off, just freezes up during games.. which causes me to shut it off. How can i check and monitor the temperatures and what are the ideal temperatures?

ok cooll thanks, so ur sure that its not the power supply problem or motherboard or something like that? Probably just temperatures?

Not sure at all, but it's always wise to get this issue resolved and killed before moving on, it only takes a few minuets to see if there is a problem and it may highlight a potential issue.
Your PSU is fine, the Earthwatts series is a very good PSU, so you should discount that as a cause for this problem.
