Hi guys just wondering if my power supply is adequate to run this card it says it requires 500w i have just built my pc on a budget and this is the final piece system specs down below for a better idea of my power needs
FX-4300
GA 78LMT rev 5.0
8gb hyperx ram
Xfx 450 pro series 80+
possibly r9 270

will i have issues with bottlenecking between my cpu and the r9?

Solution

The 750 Ti has the performance of a 260x. So no. I wouldn't say ditch the r9 yet. Have you taken a look at the r7 265?

It performs in between...

would the 750ti be able to run games like skyrim fully modded and mmos like tera on ultra? my monitor only supports 1368x768 so im not looking to play at 1080p

i would have gone out and gotten it but can't afford to upgrade psu right now which sucks would you suggest i just avoid the r9 and get a 750ti? yes im from the uk :)

It performs in between the 750 Ti and the r9 270.

But the 270 wouldn't be a bad idea necessarily. The 270x require a 500W PSU. So it would be safe to say that the 450w would be enough for sure.. So the question is whether or not you want to gamble the warranty game or not. If it were me, I would go with the 265 to be safe. I have a Club 3D 265 right now and it is really nice. (It's running on a Antec (made by seasonic as is your PSU) PSU)

But what people don't get about selecting a PSU is that wattage isnt really the key factor. The 12v rail is. And that PSU in particular has 34A on the 12v rail which is definitely enough to handle a 270 or a 265. But the warranty issue is still there.

Solution
Thanks for the help very much appreciated will this handle most games at 1368x768

At 768p? Definitely. Your CPU will be an issue before your GPU will be in that case :)

Hope that helped!
