Xfx 5970 black edition running hot

Hello,
has anyone out there managed to update the bios on your xfx 5970 black edition 2gig card. i have tried to no avail, it should apparently add a fan controller to ccc so to enable manual fan speed controll of gpu fan, but no luck, it seems the bios update keeps stalling at the last step, i get a cprompt resart then nothing has changed. any help would be great.

Sometimes the latest version of driver is not always the best, the older one can be more stable...
So switch back to older version that most stable.
