Hello,
12/05/11
XFX MOBO Fail
XFX nForce 750a (model XFX MD A72P 7509)
S/N J8007283
System will not start using the normal computer front panel start button.
System started to show signs of sluggish response to starting about a week ago.
Finaly today I got no response at all.
Tested the hardware front panel push button... OK.
Replaced the Power Supply Unit... still no start.
Cant see any obvious failed parts on MOBO.

This machine had been working fine for two years till it started taking longer to "pwr on". Finally it would not start at all.

Just purchased NEW ...750a ... (S/N J8W007729) same problem with new board and new power supply.

Is this problem common to this product?

Does anyone have a sugestion or schematics of this section of the MOBO?

tnks...
klop...

If you replaced the PSU and the problem wasn't fixed, it was probably never a power problem.

If you replaced the motherboard and the problem wasn't fixed, it was probably never a motherboard problem.

It could be any number of things, but the thing that keeps coming to my mind as a possible cause is the hard drive.

I can't get the front panel "pwr" led to come on.
There are three led's on the board that come on when the line switch on the back next to the power cord is turned on.

Could I have gotten a BAD new MOBO?

Are you sure everything is wired correctly?

Are all the power cords and RAM sticks and everything pushed in firmly?

To answer your question, yes it is possible you got a bad motherboard right out of the box. It is also possible that it happened to be bad in the exact same way that your other computer just went bad.

However, the chances of this are pretty slim.

If I were a bookie, I would put the odds at maybe 100 to 1.

The odds of it being something that wasn't switched out yet would be like 1.01 to 1
