XFX 7870 Double D and Seasonic X650 connection

Hello, I have a XFX 7870 Double D GHZ edition and a Seasonic X650

The GPU requires two 6 pin cables. Can I use safely use one of the PCI-E cables supplied with my PSU that has two (6+2)-pin PCI-E connectors and a solid 8-pin connector that plugs into one 8-pin connectors the PSU's modular panel? In other words, can I use the one 8 pin cord with two 6+2's for the one card? Or do I need to use two separate 6+2 cables?

I'm new to this but some forum searching says that since my PSU is a single +12V rail design so I don't need to worry about it.

Using one PCIE POWER cord is perfectly fine.

In other words, can I use the one 8 pin cord with two 6+2's for the one card? < Yes that is the best way.
