XFX 7970 3GB GHz Edition without LC?

Hello,
I am planning on buying the XFX Double D 3GB 7970 GHz edition card, but I do not have liquid cooling on my current build. Will this card be able to run without liquid cooling or will it burn out within a few weeks/months of use? It's a pretty expensive card, so I want it to have a long life.

It doesn't need water cooling, it has it's own air cooling fans. You can probably even get a decent overclock out of it without reaching crazy temperatures. If it does 'burn out' that's probably a manufacturing defect, nothing to worry about.

It'll run fine without water but if you're worried you can buy something like this.
