I have been having problem with the xfx dd r7 260x and it happens randomly.

1.Black screen with audio (solution shut down and turn back on)
2.Blue screen with hdd dump
a000007 bos

I have custom PC and no I do not plan to buy a new motherboard

made in 2014

1.Mis 970-g46
2.Amd 6300
3.16GBB ram
4.xfx 7 260x 2GB (best buy)
5.850watt power supply
6.Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I m wondering if updating the drivers would help fix the issue I have amd Catalyst control center 13.12 (installed the cd)

right now the only solution is to restart the computer and since I know nothing about bios or overclocking I would like to know what my best solution is to fix this problem. though after I restart I do not have a problem, I use the gpu as my main display through HDMI.
I
notice sometimes when I when I leave the computer on, it shuts down auto without my any input.

What you are dealing with if the system was bought or built in 2014.

And the system case has never been opened since that time, will be dust build up of two parts of the system.

The first will be the cooling solution fitted to the Cpu of the motherboard.
Where opening the system up and inspecting it you may see a thick dust build or a matte of dust clogging the cooling fins of the cpu cooling block.

The same also will apply to your xfx dd r7 260x pci-e graphics card also, you may find it clogged with a thick layer of dust on the cooling fins of the cooling heat sink provided on the graphics card.

Find a small clean paint brush and remove any dust buildup that is clogging the fins of the cpu cooling solution and the Gpu cooling solution of the graphics card.

For the R7 260x card via a few screws you can remove in most cases the plastic shroud that covers the cooling solution fitted to the graphics card, so you can remove all of the trapped dust blocking the cooling fins.

It is the reason why when playing a game you are met with a black screen but you can still hear music playing, or the sound loops or stutters when the screen goes black Zeke.

But also why the system will auto shut down without any intervention by yourself.

Once you have given the cpu cooler and the graphics card a good clean all the problems should stop for you Zeke.
It is due to high heat temperatures the Gpu on the graphics card is reaching and for the cpu also running on your system build.

I have already dusted it out a few days ago, I do plan to update the drivers sometime in September and that for compatibility issues with one my games that use to run on xp and won't work with the windows 7 update which something else I plan to update.

Thermaltake Smart M 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply is my powers supply 850watts

I just need to know it safe since this my first build and friend help me with and very cautious that all.

yes It shuts down without intervention all.

It like this I turn the power on and starts then I after maybe 30min it will be shut down or if I leave on for a very long time It will auto shut and there no input on my, I have my setting so my power does not turn off or go into sleep mode,

as for the black screen yes I can hear audio but no picture, I tried unplugging the HDMI in and back in nothing remains black

as for the other issue I have sometimes I will be in video or game I playing then I will hear this buzz sound when the screen goes black then turn to blue then it goes to the memory dump and then the computer auto restarts and I ask the PC to check for solution and yet the same thing happens,

I thought about about buying new cooler for the cpu since the one I use is the stock cooler.

I have WD Black 1tb HDD
