XFX Fan Rattle Issue

Basically I have a XFX TS Model that is around 650w I believe and it is just over a year old and it is rattling.

The sound has been getting louder and louder and more consistent and it irritates me while trying to play games because I can hear it over my headphones.

As it is a power supply I do not want to mess around with the fans just in case I void my warranty.

Obviously RMA will be an option but I know it will take ages to get the replacement as I only recently came back to my PC.

Or I could buy a new one that I know will me well with a brand that has good customer support.

I don't know what to do.

(I know it is the fan as I stopped the fan from spinning and the rattling stopped)

Bare in mind that I am from the UK too so I do not know what has the best brand customer support over here.

Any replies would be very thankful to me indeed.

I own a Corsair RMX 850W and EVGA 850W G2.

RMX and G2 lineups are 2 of the best on the market.

What would you do with the old power supply? I have just taken the PSU out of my PC.....it still works but I am worried with the rattling that is going on in my PC.

Go to the store where you bought it,or talk to their customer service.Within two years should you reasonably expect that they will replace it or handle the rma.
If you get a new one could you sell it or keep it as a back up.

Yeah, I am only thinking of getting a new PSU because I want to get a high quality one with a long warranty on it so I can make sure my PC is reliable. How much do you think a used XFX Bronze Certified 650w PSU will go for used? £20?

I wouldn't resell it used,only after an rma and getting a new one as replacement.If you don't want to bother with that just keep it yourself as back up.

So RMA the PSU and get a new better PSU as well so just in case my newer PSU has an issue, I could use the RMA PSU when I am do another RMA on my better PSU? Is that a good idea?

That is a good idea , and this way you will have a working backup.
