is the XFX HD 7970 better than the XFX hd 7950 Black DD?

The 7950 Black DD is a great card BUT look at the differences:

XFX 7950 Black DD: 5500MHz GDDR5, GPU 900MHz, 1792 Cores.

XFX 7970 Ghx DD Edition: 6000MHz GDDR5, GPU 1050MHz, 2048 Cores.


So yes, OBV the 7970 is better even if you wont buy the Ghz Edition.

GTX 760 can't match a 7970 let alone the GHz editions. Also consider the newer R9 280X which is practically the same as 7970, might be cheaper even.

Me I'd rather get an ordinary 7970, bag the free games, OC beyond 1000MHz and have a good laugh.
