XFX R7 250 Black Screen after install

I just received a XFX r7 250 video card and I removed my old drivers and put the card in. The fan will spin but there is no signal. I have a Dell Optiplex 745 Desktop with a 280w PSU. I know it's lower than the minimum but people say they run this card on a 220w PSU. I need help because I have no idea why it won't display. Thanks

These are two reasons your card might not be working:

1. You motherboard's bios is incompatible.
2. Your power supply is inefficient.

So, the first thing to do is to update your motherboard's bios to the latest, stable revision.

I got it working by using the VGA port. I was trying to use the DVI port using a DVI to VGA adapter but that didn't work. And the HDMI won't work either. All that works is the VGA which is fine but I would like the HDMI to work also.

I updated my bios and didnt fix it. So probably my motherboard is not fully compatible with it

Probably, but it's hard to say for sure until you try a better PSU out.

So, you've got two options: try a new PSU or try a new motherboard.

Hello, UNfortunately the motherboard has a Intel 965 chipset and has an older PCI-E 1.0 slot. Without a bios update, generally this chipset is incompatible.
