XFX r9 280x 60 hertz monitor

Hey guys I was just wondering if a 60 hertz monitor will be enough for for a r9 280x or gtx 770 or we'll see what the 860's are like anyways I was just wondering if I'll get screen tearing because it be too powerful for a single 1080p 60 hertz monitor. I hope to play bf4 and hardline, minecraft, and whatever games come with the graphics card.

just crank some settings higher and your card wont be to powerfull i am sure that the 280x wont be able to sustain constant 60FPS @ max settings, even on 1080p. If somehow the tearing is so bad, enable vsync.

The R9 280X has no problem playing actual games at 60 + FPS @ 1080P

Note this is the reference card. XFX card will perform slightly better.

Okay since the fore mentioned games aren't real games: tell me what is

At 60+FPS with a 1080P monitor with ultra setting

Screen tearing does not comes from a GPU too powerful. If your monitor is a 60 HZ, it means Vsync mode will limit it to 60 FPS.

As long as Vsync is active, there should be no tearing.
