Very quick question regarding the PSU requirement for the R9 280x BE, does it really require a 750w PSU, can anyone confirm?

On the actual site of xfxforce.com in the spec tab it says a 750w minimum PSU is recommended, this also applies for the non-black edition as well. However, at newegg the PSU requirement for the non black edition says 500w and for the black edition it states 750w(minimum). I have a Corsair TX650w PSU, it would be disappointing if the BE really requires a higher end PSU. If so, I guess ill have to go with the Non-BE.

Thanks ~

No it doesn't require a 750W PSU, they just list that as they expect a no name PSU so 750W is the requirement XFX put so they aren't sued if your PC blows.

Should be fine, any reason why you particularly want this card over other 280x's or the slightly better GTX 770?

Can you post full system spec just to make sure.

Thanks for your quick response.
As to why I wan't this card. Mainly for their Life time warranty (if they hold up to there word) and Aesthetics, and seems like a good brand as well. I still have my first graphics card I've ever purchased 4 years ago XFX 5770 1GB and holding strong, on a side note its kinda loud >_> but it works in the end. I really can't wait to upgrade to something better very soon.
