Hello! I recently bought this DIY PC Kit from Newegg - http://
Everything went together well, and I was able to play a couple of games at first. Once I rebooted the machine I started having problems.
My PC crashes shortly after closing a game, and once or twice during a game. Several hours searching here was able to help me understand several of these R9 290 cards are causing crashing, and there are tons of steps to try and videos to watch to resolve this issue.
I have tried so many things from searching this site, some of which includes:
- Using DDU to completely uninstall drivers and reinstall
- BIOS Updates for GPU and my Z97S Krait Edition mobo (MSI)
- Maxing Power Limit for GPU in Afterburner
- Setting GPU to lock to a constant voltage in Afterburner
- Use 2 separate power supply cables to power the GPU, not using just one cable to save space.
Granted, this thing performs AWESOME when I'm gaming, it is just after I close a game that it crashes, at the time I am posting this, I was able to play a couple of different games before it froze.
I have been running benchmark programs, and my scores compare to other builds, so I know im getting the full performance, but I'm about to go reseat the card in its PCI slot since I have not tried that yet.
Any suggestions? Or does windows by chance save these crash logs to show me what happened when it froze? I appreciate any help! Thanks!
