Hi everyone,
I know the question may look weird but it sums up exactly what I'm going through.
I recently bought the 5700 XT, looking to up my graphics for gaming at 4K, or at least attempt to.
My sound card is an old one (M-Audio Profire 2626) which still runs great. I do not run audio through the HDMI cable from the 5700 XT. Only through the Profire.
Now when I play games, sound either cuts completely off until reboot of PC, or cuts out for a couple of seconds, then plays all audio that should've played during the cut out, at the same time, until it "catches up" to the audio after the cut out.
Hard to explain, but it's the best way I found.
Also, when streaming Youtube videos, sometimes the sound cuts off and the video goes into a "buffering" stage, however the round cursor we normally see (dotted) isn't the same (it's a linear circle).
I won't list what I've already done to attempt to solve, I'm ready to start over from scratch.
Thanks,
Marc
