I think it's time more GPU companies add LED's to their cards... or even add a glowing Title to their card like "HD 7770 Monster Edition" in a glowing Green or Red. I know that would make me want to buy a select card even more.

The 7770's an entry level card. I think that people who go for entry level cards like these don't really go for aesthetics(probably because windowed cases cost aren't available all that cheap. But it would be really nice to see things like rgb led's being included with mid-high end cards like 7870/660 - 7970/680. Titan's LED is already being put to good use by evga's precisionx.

Blowing hot air into the case is the fail whale...Also, these dudes are probably kicking themselves for not getting this out before the 7790, not much value here considering they will probably charge $20 more than a regular 7770.

Well half the hot air goes into the case -- the other half goes out the back. It's not a huge issue for properly ventilated cases even with high end cards. I have two 5850s (with fail whale fans) and an overclocked i5-2500k and nothing gets overly hot, despite my two top 140mm fans starting to wear out.

The upside is these types of fans are quieter at higher rpm than blower types.

agree on the quietness, and I agree that those types of fans CAN do good on other brands, but look at the exhaust area on the second pic - there is the XFX cutout of the metal, thats it. Highly unlikely that fan is blowing 50% out the back.
I stand by my Fail!

pointless. 7770 is a budget gamers card, they are not going to want to spend extra 20% for a 10% improvement, especially not when it can be done with basic overclocking. A no-frills 7770 with a good cooler and a low price will sell better. Hardly a "Monster" of a card.

The 7770 VGA is capable playing games in respected resolutions and settings, not the highest settings but really worth it's money. It's a cost effective card, round about $100, not many can beat that!
Replaced my Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 with 7770 now.

In euro the 8800 GTS 512 costed me about 225 euro. The 7770 was about euro100 and it's much faster.
Well worth the money!

I had a 5770 and it was worth every penny. Budget cards generally offer the best bang for buck, don't expect amazing performance, but they're definetly great performers.

IMHO, buying a select card is all about extra performance.
