Hello, I got myselfe an used computer or exactly ive got 2 different computers in the post.

The fist one is one computer with intel i7 3770s and radeon xfx r9 280 x card
The other one is with intel i5 960 and Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Toxic
If you need any more speccs i can try find it out.

The problem is when i startup the computer the motherboard picutres comes then windows is loading then after that its just a black screen.

With computer 1 i tried installing windows and after everything worked fine UNTIL i installed the amd drivers and took a reboot and then came back to the same problem.
I tried putting in an old card ''radeon 6950'' and everything works fine and i get in windows, but once i plug in the r9 card its black screen.

The computer is running and screen is on. Anyone got any tips on what i can try to do? seems wierd that i have the same issue with 2 computers with the same card?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about your issue. My name is Mark at XFX, I will be helping resolve this issue today. Its strange the 6950 works fine, i suspected at first a resolution issue which is somewhat simple to fix. Simply change resoltion to something lower, apply, then swap video cards... but now i suspect a bios update is needed, perhaps windows is out of date, a faulty driver install, or even a 3rd party software interfering.

Tutorial for proper driver installation.

1-Load windows with only your primary graphics card plugged in.
2-Disable any and ALL anti-virus/malware protection.
3-Download and Run the 15.10 (or latest) drivers from AMD.com (Omega drivers do not have Uninstall built in, you have to do it through add/remove, which is okay)
4-Choose to Uninstall/express (may not be available in newest version, download an older version) the existing drivers, and AMD folder
5-Restart the computer.
6-Disable any and ALL anti-virus/malware protection.
7-Run the 15.10 drivers from AMD.com
8-Choose to Install/Express the drivers
9-Restart. Confirm settings are working in windows.
10-Shutdown and add 2nd/3rd cards for Xfire.
11-Respond to this ticket if you have any further questions
** If you have nvidia drivers on your computer, you might need to run the Uninstall feature of Nvidias driver as well.

ive tried to formate the computer aswell ,and then install the latest amd driver on a new formatet windows, and still the same problem seem to exsist, Ive allso tried to remove the battery in the motherboard for aprox 10 minutes and then boot up, How to i find older drivers for example te 15.10 instead of the 15.7.1 or the 15.11 beta as ive tried so far?
