Question XFX Radeon R9 280x problems?

My 280x is having a hard time with the surge 2, sekiro, and the outer world's on low to medium settings. I know it's not a new card, but I've never had a problem before. What could be causing this? Or is it just too outdated now?

What would be a good card I can use? I have the ASUS Formula V Crosshair Z and an AMD 8350.
