Hello everybody, my name is Jiri im new here and hope i will find some advice here.
I did some search here and foud few threads with the same problems but no solution.
So I bought online - MB-XFX -X58I-CH19 ( http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/mainboard/17174-xfxs-intel-core-i7-x58-motherboard-delivering-goods/ )
with i7 ( http://ark.intel.com/products/37147/Intel-Core-i7-920-Processor-(8M-Cache-2_66-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI )
which should support triple chanel memory but i cant actually get a run even dual chanel;(
As soon as i put second module in the board pc take ages to load and if i trying open any program or window is useless.
I got two kits of this memory Crucial Ballistix Tracer 6GB (3x2GB) 1600MHz CL8 1.65V.
I registered this board on xfxforce web site and get a tuch with their support. But they sent me today msg with nice advice :??:
" Im afraid it appears time for you to consider an upgrade"
Nice one!!
So i would like to ask you more experienced guys what to try? Any tips what i may try setup in my bios? Of course i flashed the newest version.
thx very much for any advice.
kind regards Jiri Mojak

XFX Motherboard Intel Edition CPU Compatibility List

Your PSU is probably too low to support a high powered video card, so the 7300 GT required less power and allowed power resources to be allocated elsewhere.

The PSU should be at least 850 Watts for current computers, especially for i7 cpu.

"The X58 motherboard is Vista Premium Certified meaning that it will work well with the Windows Vista Operating system." refer link http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/motherboards/1853_2.html

Basically, you should only use 1333mhz ram.

The x58 is a rather hot processor so consider extra fans and a good cooling system. Check the thermal paste that it is adequate.

Check the temps in the Bios PC Health, if they go above 65C then it is getting too hot.

thx for your reply tenpc but i found last nite this thread on overclockers and that working for me:

http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=706959

the problem is i have to keep both my GPU in so that increase my power consumption. i overclocked my i7 and gtx650 as well and dont have any issue with psu so far.
im runing now i7-920 as 920EE @ 3.2GB, 3x2GB rams in triple channel stable 😉
im also runing and monitoring my system with OCCT 4.3.2 and processor doesnt go over 40C and with CPU test runing on 100% temperature doesnt go over 60C what i think is not bad.
have to say i didnt get help of xfx support at all jst some smart coments like "is time to upgrade your MB and bla bla bla :fou:

actually how trustworthy are the OCCT figures?

thx a mil jiri
