XFX XT PSU any good?

Hey guys!

I was wanting to buy a cx 550w because even if it's a entry level psu, for being corsair, I though it had a good quality, but people here on tom's hardware are saying the opposite. This XFX xt 600w 80 Plues Bronze is cheaper.
Is it a better choice than this corsair?

The CX450M, CX550M etc are very good quality processors, especially for their price point. Dont mistake it for the CX430 and CX500.

Much better quailty than the XFX XT.

What is your pc specs, and how much is the budget for the psu?

The good Corsair CX are: CX450M, CX550M, CX650M and CX750M. These are labelled with white/black stickers.
The bad Corsair CX are: CX430(M), CX500(M), CX600(M) and CX750(M). These are labelled with black/green stickers.

The M in the regular (bad) CX line up is called Modular, whilst in the CXM series It's part of the model name.

There is only one Corsair CX 550 power supply and that is the CX550M which is white/black labelled. It is the good one:

Btw, it's not bad, just lower quality. I've had a CX600M for years now, and it works fine. You don't need above a tier 4 unless you're doing significant overclocking.

My setup is very optimized in consumption. i5 6600 and 1060. I already spent a lot in these components so the psu doesn't have to be professional omg high end corsair ax 1500w. I just want a good quality one that will last 4, 5 years, you know? MY budget is around the price of this xfx xt 600w, which is the same as the evga 600b or the cx 600.

That's what I think. Sites saying that cx 600 is good for office builds and basic pcs, but c'mon. My setup only needs a 430w at best. But people were saying that xfx is good, that the cx is bad, but when someone asked if the VS is good for their setup they said it was. So I don't get it

I know the difference with the colours. You're saying the modular ones that are not the cx 550m are bad? I get that is a good choice, but it's a little above my budget.

I get it's a good psu, but what about the xfx xt 600w? It fits my budget and people said that the xfx are psus

The only Corsair CX 550 that exists is that Corsair CX 550M. There is literally no other model. So unless you were mistaken with Corsair CX 500, the CX 550 is the good one with white/black sticker..

That is true the only 550w model in the CXM is the new one.
