Hello everyone,

I've been finding it difficult to figure out if this CPU Cooler would be able to fit on my Asus P8Z68-V PRO Motherboard with Corsair Vengence 16GB RAM cards. I'm just worried that the heatspreaders on the Motherboard surrounding the CPU will not give the Cooler the proper clearance to be able to fit correctly.

I've checked some Youtube video's and I believe it should clear RAM slot #1 with the tall heat spreader.

So if there's anyone out there who has the same set up and knows that it won't be a problem or if you would recommend another Cooler all together please let me know.

Solution
I believe you can mount the heatsink so that it's parallel to the graphics card, or parallel to the RAM. If you do it so it's parallel to the RAM, then you can simply raise the fan on the side of the heatsink to clear the RAM.

If you mount it parallel to the graphics card, then it will most likely overhang one or two of the RAM slots.

Unfortunately Xiggy doesn't list the information on the website about the orientation or options to change direction. You might consider contacting their support with your inquiry about RAM clearance.

Do you already have all of this? If you don't you should consider getting shorter profile RAM. At 16GB you'd be better off with 2 DIMMs versus 4.

To answer your question though, you should be able to mount the cooler either way, updraft from your GPU or crossflow. If it's crossflow then you can simply raise the fan up. If it's updraft, you could be in trouble.

I do already have the 4 RAM cards (there was a really good sale at the time)

Would you mind explaining this a little bit more? I don't think I follow what your trying to say.
