XLR Microphone not working in any Voice Chat programs.

Hi all,
I've been having trouble with my Shure Sm58 plugged directly into my Strix Soar soundcard via an XLR to 3.5mm jack. I get no signal in game or with Steam chat/Discord/Skype BUT I get perfect signal and quality with the soundcard's audio software and when I stream with OBS Studio.
I've contacted discord and skype to no avail and they just tell me it's an anomaly that it only works with OBS. Is it a matter of needing a mixer or something, if so, why would it only work with OBS and the soundcard software? Any help will be super appreciated.

It is the default device and everything else is disabled. It's labeled Microphone-STRIX SOUND CARD

Because it's not a computer microphone, even if you make it into a 3.5mm jack, that may not be enough of a conversion.
You should actually contact Shure and ask why their mic doesn't work with other software.

That is what I first thought too but he stated it works in OBS which is weird if works for that but needs an adapter for other programs.

OBS being a recording program, may have better support for non-computer mics.
