Hey guys, Im planning ton doing a build in the next few weeks. How do you think this looks?

I'm using it for gaming, video editing, and possibly music design. (Might add a shnazzy sound card for that later on.)

I'm working off of an old iMac with an Intel Core 2 duo (3.0 Ghz), 8 gigs of ram, and Intel HD graphics 3000. I got it refurbished back in 2006 for something like $600, it was a solid deal. This is going to be a huge upgrade for me.

Also, I've got a tight budget, around $850 or so.

If you don't like this setup, do you think that you could put together a list with your preferred parts?

I don't want crossfire or over clocking.
I need a keyboard, mouse, wireless card, a monitor, and a copy of Windows.

Thanks and happy holidays! 😀

Solution
Spend an extra $5 and get the 300R case. It is much better and runs much cooler. Also, $5 more for dual channel RAM and 1866. PSU, get a Corsair modular PSU. You'll be glad you did. Lastly, if possible, get a 8320 instead. The fx-6300 isn't good unless it is overclocked. Compare a non overclocked fx-6300 to a i3 and you'll see what I mean.

Solution
Change your RAM... Get a Dual Channel RAM... If you are getting a RAM always get dual channel or two of same stick... like (2x 4GB) (2x 8GB) (4x 4GB) etc..
And I would also suggest you Corsair Carbide 400R case...

As far as I saw your build I see that you are not buying a CPU cooler.... are you? For CPU Cooler I would suggest Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo...
Operating System :I prefer Windows 8...
